デザイナーの吉岡徳仁氏が、毎年1月と9月にパリで開催されているインテリアの展示会、メゾン・エ・オブジェにおいて「now! design à vivre 2012 CREATOR OF THE YEAR」を受賞した。この賞は、世界のクリエイションシーンに最も影響を与えているクリエイター1人に贈られる賞で、日本人の受賞は初。この受賞を記念し、1月20日から開催される展覧会で、“自然の力と人間との関わり”をテーマとした“CRYSTALIZED PROJECT”の新作が発表される。

－自然がつくりだす偶然の美しさをかたちづくるクリスタルの造形は、人間の想像を超えるー

『2007年から始まった“Crystalized Project”は、“自然の力と人間との関わり”を考え、新たな自然の姿を表出させようとする試みです。この展覧会では、結晶を成長させた椅子“VENUS - Natural crystal chair”、そして音楽の振動によって成長する絵画、さらに、国内外で未発表の新作を発表いたします』（吉岡氏）

Tokujin Yoshioka wins “Creator of the year 2012” award in Maison & Objet

Designer Tokujin Yoshioka wins“now! design à vivre 2012 CREATOR OF THE YEAR”at the interior design and decoration fair “Maison & Objet” which takes place every year in Paris in January and September. This award is sent to the designer who has most influenced the world of creation, and Yoshioka is the first Japanese to win this award. In commemoration to his award, in his coming exhibition starting from January 20th, he will introduce his new creation from the “CRYSTALIZED PROJECT” which theme focuses on the relationship between humans and the power of nature.

-Crystalized pieces adopting the randomness or unexpectedness of nature surpasses human’s imagination.-

Started since 2007, the “Crystalized Project,” on the reflection of “Relationship between power of nature and human beings,” tries to create and reveal a new portrait of nature.

In the exhibition at Maison & Objet, new pieces, which has not ever been exhibited in the world, will be presented along with a crystalized chair “VENUS - Natural crystal chair,” and crystal paintings grown by the vibration of music. (Tokujin Yoshioka)

パリの一区に建つ18世紀の建物。この1、2階部分に三次曲面の壁で包まれたチーズショップ「salon du fromage HISADA」がオープンした。1階は、チーズを鑑賞しながら回遊できるよう異なる直径･高さの円柱状冷蔵展示台が並ぶ物販エリア。2階は、料理教室やイベントにも対応可能なレストランとなっている。キーアイコンとなるキューブ状の照明器具は、厚さ6mmの人造大理石（コーリアン）製。設計を手掛けたのは、パリ、東京、名古屋で活躍する建築家の堀内功太郎（ほりうち･こうたろう）氏。
