毎年スイスのバーゼルで開催される時計の展示会「バーゼル・ワールド」において、この3月、SWAROVSKIから吉岡徳仁デザインによるスペシャルモデル「“LAKE OF SHIMMER” - AVANT Time Nº 3」が発表された。SWAROVSKIの詩的でエレガントなエッセンスを凝縮したこの時計は、12の面にカットされた一塊のクリスタルから作られた文字盤の輝きが時の経過を表現する。美しい反射を生み出すステンレススチール製の小さなヘキサゴン（六角形）パネルで構築されたブレスレットは、2009年、同じくバーゼル・ワールドにて発表されたSWAROVSKIブース「Lake of Shimmer」のファサードから着想を得ているという。無数の小さなミラーが、風に揺れ動くことで煌めきをもたらしたファサード面のように、湖の表面に美しい波紋を広げる光が放つ詩的な輝きを生み出す。

いまやアルフレックスの “顔”とも言うべき代表的ソファ「MARENCO（マレンコ）」。1971年、建築家でもあるデザイナーのマリオ・マレンコ（1933〜）が発表したこの愛くるしいフォルムのロングセラーソファが、発売40周年を記念し、ミニサイズの「マレンコ ピッコロ」（一人掛けソファ）として限定40台発売される。価格は99,750円（税込）。申込制で数を超えた場合は抽選となる。また、合わせて応募抽選で好きなカラーの「マレンコ ピッコロ」1台が当たるキャンペーンも実施。いずれも詳細は下記まで。

MARENCO 40^th anniversary campaign

MARENCO’s sofas have become the “face” of Arflex.  In celebration of his 40^th anniversary, the architect and designer Mario Marenco (1933-) launches 40 pieces in mini size of the long seller adorable shape sofa named “Marenco Piccolo” (a single seat sofa). The price is 99,750 yens (tax included). Purchase is by application and in case the number of applications exceeds, there will be a draw to select the purchasers. 「ゆ・わ・い」とは結い祝うこと。結ばれ包まれたものが大事なものに感じてもらえる伊予水引のギフトバッグです。伝統的な水引の結び、あわじ結びを装飾的な飾りから道具にする試みで、和紙を紙縒にした水引を8本使いで結うことでボトル重量に耐える強度を出しました。また水引本来の特性であるしなやかさを感じてもらえるように、持ち手部分の水引の束を自ら結ぶことが出来るフリーな状態にしています。伊予水引は四国中央市（愛媛県東部）の紙の産地に、江戸時代の元結に始まり紙漉きと共に発展しました。その中でも有高扇山堂は、伝統的な儀式、技法を継承しながらも、その技術やかたちにとらわれることなくチャレンジしているメーカーで、外部デザイナーとは初の取り組みです。水引の色合いや華やかさを活かし、日本人の持っている「おもてなし」の美意識をバッグにすることで、ギフトだけでなくパーティーテーブルの演出にもご使用いただけます。（田中 行／Yuki Tanaka） 

“Yuwai” means tie a bow to celebrate. The Iyo Mizuhiki (Japanese decorative paper cord)　gift bag makes you feel the item wrapped inside so precious. Awaji-musubi is a traditional Mizuhiki decoration, and they made it to wrapping equipment. They reinforced bags by using Mizuhiki with eight paper strings so that they can strong enough to carry a bottle. Also to maintain the flexibility which mizuhiki originally has, you can tie Mizuhiki handle by yourself. Iyo Mizuhiki was born in the paper production area in Shikokuchuo-city (East of Ehime Pref). I started in Edo era and developed with the paper making skills. Aritaka Yusendo is one of the companies that keep trying out their innovative ideas while keeping traditional rituals and technique. And this is the first time for them to work with the designer outside. This Mizuhiki bag is suitable not only for a gift but also a table settings.
