移転や仮設診療所設計を経て、今回の3件目が本院となる消化器内科診療所である。外壁は、耐候性と診療所の存在感を訴求。内部空間は全体を白くシンプルな要素で包み込み、院内の各エリアで求められる“役割り”に合わせたカラートーン3種類の天然木を配し、それらを全体空間と対比させることで各エリアの存在感を主張しながら居心地を向上させる考えを提案。機能面では、複雑な動線計画を整理し、効率の良い平面計画と各部屋の遮音性能および掃除のしやすさに配慮し、設計した。各部のディテールを含め、できるだけ余計な要素を抑え、清潔さを維持した白い全体空間に対比させた3種類の天然木（端切れ材）を壁、天井に大きく使用。呼吸をしながらいまだ生き続ける天然木素材の持つ魅力を最大限に生かし、その先にある診療所の本質である「信頼性」「安堵感」「清潔感」を、空間を通して伝えることをデザインコンセプトとした。（河野知二／コングデザインオフィス、文責BAMBOO）

This was the third time I was given the opportunity to design the clinic for the same owner. After going through relocation and the designing of temporary clinic, this one as the third time, is to be the main office of his gastroIntestinal clinic (347.18sqm) . The exterior wall is made weather-resistant as well as to have a great deal of presence. The white and simple factors are enfolding the overall interior space having a striking contrast with the wooden work placed in each section within the clinic. Those natural wood comes in three different colour-tones and are placed in accordance with the “required roles” of each section of the clinic, so they serve different purpose and have unique presence yet they are all to help improving the comfortability in their own area. As for functional aspects, the main focus was on managing the conducting wires to provide the effective flat working space. Also featured is the noise barrier performance in each room, and the whole clinic is designed for easy daily cleaning and maintenance. Any additional elements and extra details are cut off but the whole space is kept simple and gives clean atmosphere with the overall white, and there comes the dynamic of the 3 types of natural wood (;scrap peaces) boldly allocated on the walls and ceiling as the contrast to the white. The design concept is to deliver the the essence of a clinic which are “reliability”, “a sense of relief”, and “cleanliness” through the practice space, in which the charms of the natural wood that is still living and breathing, are maximised.（Tomoji Kawano／Cong Design Office）
