ポニー小児歯科医院

小児歯科とは、一般に成人に至るまでの患者を担当する歯科のことである。そのため、小児歯科では、成長発育に関する知識はもとより、親への歯科指導などを行う必要性がある。そこで「ポニー小児歯科医院」では、「成長」を感じることができる空間を設計した。今回のプランでは動線分離を採用したため、一つのユニットに対して一つの部屋が現れ、すべての部屋が「壁」に囲まれた閉鎖的な空間構成となる。そこで、空間の開放性と、スタッフの視認性を確保するために、それぞれの壁面に半円形の開口を設けた。それぞれの壁面に設けられた開口は、直径が異なるため、開口の高さと面積が異なり、視線の高さの変化を感じることが出来る空間が現れる。また、壁面に設けられた開口はそのまま、ファサードの開口と連動しており、その開口は歯科医院にふさわしい「白い歯の見える笑顔」を連想させるファサードデザインとなっている。私は、この空間によって「子供の成長に伴って、見える景色が変わる」空間を提案する。（吉田昌弘／KAMITOPEN一級建築士事務所、文責BAMBOO）

Pediatric dentistry is generally dentistry for under 20-year-old. Therefore pediatric dentistry needs knowledge about growth and development and to instruct parents. So I designed the space where people can feel “growth” for PONY pediatric dental clinic. Here I adopted separated circulation, and thus one room appears in one unit and all rooms are surrounded by “wall” in a closed space composition. To keep openness of the space and visibility of staff, I made a half-circle-shaped opening on each wall. Because each opening has a different diameter heights and superficial contents of openings are also different and people can feel changes of lines of sight in the space. In addition, openings on walls are coordinated with an opening of a façade and associate themselves with “smile with white teeth”.
