昨年12月、“香港の顔”として名高い「ザ・ペニンシュラ香港」が開業82周年を迎えた。香港の歴史と伝統の移り行く様を見続けてきたこのホテルでは現在、さまざまなイベントが企画され、人気を博している。『私たちの香港』（OUR HONG KONG）と名付けられたBOOKは、「ザ・ペニンシュラ香港」の50名のスタッフが、各々の趣味や知識、香港で生まれ育った経験を通じて香港の見どころを紹介した一冊。ガイドブックには掲載されない香港の隠れた一面を垣間みることができる。7月31日までこのBOOK一冊が付いた人気特別メニューがランチとディナーで楽しめる（628香港ドル）。また、“ザ・ペニンシュラアカデミー”では、BOOKで紹介されている香港の文化について学べるプログラム（有料）が用意されている。このプログラムでは、香港市内の自然探訪や歴史探訪といったアクティビティとホテル内の中国料理レストラン「スプリング・ムーン」での食事がセットになっており、五感で香港を楽しめる内容になっている。

Last December, The Peninsula Hong Kong, “the Face of Hong Kong” had their 82nd anniversary. The hotel has been witnessing the history and changing tradition of Hong Kong, is holding various popular events. In the book titled”Our Hong Kong”, 50 staff of the hotel introduce the must-see places based on their backgrounds such as hobbies, knowledge and their lives. You can fine secret places, which guidebooks can’t cover. Until July 31, 2011, you can enjoy lunch or dinner at HKD628. The price includes a copy of the book. Also, “The Peninsula Academy” offers the program (with fee) which you can learn the culture of Hong Kong introduced in the book. • 1930年代の上海を思わせるラウンジバー「サロン・ド・ニン」。昨年12月、「ザ・ペニンシュラアーケード」の一角にオープン。1930年代の上海に実在したプライベートサロンの空間をイメージしたこのラウンジバーは、香港の建築家、Henry Leungが手掛けている。その昔、東洋のパリと称された上海の魅力を表現したこの空間には、世界各地の旅先で収集した美術品や骨董品が飾られ、上海デコと呼ぶにふさわしい仕上がりとなっている。 
• Lounge Bar “Salon de Ning”, which makes you feel you are in Shanghai in 1930. It opened in The Peninsula Arcade in last December.  The lounge, which creates an image of a private salon which actually existed in Shanghai in 1930 was designed by the architect, Henry Leung.  In the space, which used to be called Paris in the Orient, art and antique pieces are displayed in Shanghai Deco style.
