西洋ではスポットライトなどの人工光ではなく、窓などから入る自然光の明かりの中で作品を鑑賞する美術館が数多くあります。それは、「絵画の大半は自然光の下で描かれたものであり、その状況とできるだけ近い状態で見たとき最も良く見える」と言われてきたからです。私たちは建物の中に自然光によって感じる「外部を感じる部屋」と「内部を感じる部屋」を作ることで、服や靴などの商品が本来置かれるべき「場所」を設計いたしました。天窓からさんさんと太陽の光が降り注ぐ外部屋にはアウターや靴など外で使う商品たちを置き、壁に反射した柔らかい間接光に包みこまれる内部屋にはインナーや雑貨など内で使う商品を置くことで、それぞれの商品が実際に使われる状況を想像させてくれるような「場所」が生まれます。本当に良い素材、良い技術で造られた物は、本来の自然な姿を見せることが、良い物を最も良く見せる方法なのではないかと考えています。（谷尻誠／サポーズデザインオフィス）

“Works” Lighten Up by Natural Sunlight

In the Western world, there are many museums you can enjoy art pieces under the natural sunlight from windows, not artificial lighting such as spotlights. That’s because it’s been said that “Many of paintings were created under the natural sunlight and look at its best when we see it in the similar environment.” I created the rooms where you can feel you are “outside” and “inside” to design the spaces merchandises such as clothes and shoes to be displayed. In “Outside room” where the natural sunlight comes in from the roof windows, the items, which are used in outdoor such as outer and shoes, are displayed. And we put inner and gadgets in the room where the soft light of indirect lighting covers the space. This helps you to imagine how you can use them easily. We believe showing the goods made from good materials and with excellent skill in the most natural way is the best way to present it’s quality.
