Fish market UO8

「Fish market UO8（うおはち）」は、大分県大分市にリニューアルオープンしたシーフードの和食とイタリアンのハイブリッド業態である。大分市を代表する商業地域府内町のメインストリート「府内五番街商店街」に面したファサードは、通りの雰囲気と合わせたビンテージタイルでまとめ、エントランスや窓から覗く鮮やかな空間で時代の懐かしさと新鮮さを対比させている。エントランスに入ると、150本が収まるワインセラーが目を奪う。空間全体にミラーを多用することでスケール感を増し、シャンデリアをアクセントに煌びやかな空間に仕上げた。また、五角形の空間を作ることで、アイレベルにもってきた生簀を空間全体で演出している。それにより、お客様にフィッシュマーケットだからこそ提供できる活魚・貝・オマールが堪能できることを印象付けている。ワインカラーのバーカウンターには、波の揺らぎをイメージした壁材を施し、お客様の入ってきた時の期待感を残す。2階の客席には、ゾーンで区切れるようになっているが、その上にミラーを配置することで、空間に奥行き感と一体感を出している。更に各個室ごとに壁材や什器を変え、個室自体の演出をする他、絵画を飾ることで、アクセントを与えている。（平良玄峰／LSDdesign）

“Fish market U08(UOHACHI)” is a hybrid seafood restaurant of Japanese and Italian cuisine which reopened in Oita city in Oita prefecture. The restaurant is located in the famous street “Funai Gobancho shotengai”, which means 5th avenue for shopping in Funai-Funai is an old name of Oita city-. I designed the façade in a vintage style to match the avenue and made a contrast to a fresh space seen through an entrance or windows. If you step in the entrance, the wine cellar which can stock 150 bottles intrigues you. Many mirrors placed in the entire space enlarge a scale of the space and chandeliers make the space glittery as an accent. The pentagon-shaped space also makes the preserve effective in the whole space. This impresses guests that they can enjoy fresh fishes, clams, and homard lobsters because it’s in a fish market. The wine color bar counter has an image of fluctuation of a sea wave for its wall that increases guest’s expectation. There are divided zones on the 2nd floor but by placing mirrors above seats, the space gets a sense of unity and depth.
