ホーチミンで働く日本人に、日本の家庭料理とスタッフとの会話を楽しむ場を提供するダイニングバー。大切にしたのは、ゲストとスタッフとの距離感。1階にはスペースの有効利用と、同じ空間を共有している感覚を感じてもらうことを意図したS字形のカウンターを配置。カウンターを挟み、スタッフとゲストが隔たりを感じない空間づくりを行った。また、空間に変化を与えるため、既存床のレベル差を生かして階段として活用した。 2階にはグループ客用にテーブル席を配置。ここでもスタッフとゲストの距離感を大切にするというこの店の特徴を反映させたいと考え、あえて床レベル差を設けることで、カウンター内のスタッフが目の前のゲストとその背後のテーブル席も見渡せるよう設えた。（近森穣／文責BAMBOO）

This is the dining-bar for Japanese people working in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. You can enjoy eating Japanese home-style dishes and conversations with bar staff. I wanted to value a feeling of distance between guests and staff. On the 1st floor, I placed an S-shape counter in order to utilize a space and to make both guests and staff to feel that they are sharing the same space. Although they are separated by the counter but they do not feel the gap to each other. The building originally had uneven floors so I set stairs for variety’s sake. On the 2nd floor, I placed a table for a large party. I also wanted to reflect the characteristics of this dining-bar which is to value the distance in here. Therefore I intentionally made the uneven floors so that the staff inside of the counter can see the guests in front of them and also sitting at the table.(Joe Chikamori)
