SHIRO sushi and sake bar

バリ島中心地、スミニャックエリアに新しく建てられたリゾート・ヴィラ「111（one eleven）」の2階に立地する寿司屋のプロジェクト。新鮮な素材の旨味をシンプルに伝える寿司の表現を最大限引き立たせ、利用者にその味がしっかりと伝わる空間デザインを考えた。現地で採れるチーク材の小口をリズミカルに配列する事で、チーク材の小口が持っている自然な素材感を表現し、それが寿司の持っている素材感を効果的に引き出せないかと考えた。シンプルな構成の力強さと、落ち着いた統一感のある空間に囲まれながら、寿司を心から楽しめる場になって欲しい。（野井成正)

In the center of Bali, there is an area called Seminyak. This sushi restaurant project is located in the 2nd floor of the newly-built resort villa “111-one eleven-” in there. Sushi is a cuisine to present a taste of a fresh material simply. We designed a space to make guests to feel it to the maximum extent. By putting the butt end of local teakwood in a rhythmical order, we tried to express a natural charm of the wood and then draw out the charm of sushi. We hope that guests enjoy tasting sushi surrounded by the simply and powerfully structured space which is also calm and integrated. (Shigemasa Noi)
